Expense is a private financial management application used by authorized users to organize household and business financial information.
Google Account and Gmail Data
Expense may request read-only access to Gmail through Google OAuth. Access is granted separately by each authorized Google account.
Expense uses Gmail data only to identify and process financial evidence such as:
- Receipts and purchase confirmations
- Bills and invoices
- Subscription and renewal notices
- Order confirmations
- Payment and transaction-related messages
- Other financial records relevant to the user’s Expense data
Expense does not send, modify, delete, or manage Gmail messages.
How Google User Data Is Used
Google user data is used only to support Expense features such as:
- Matching receipts and other evidence to financial transactions
- Identifying merchants, orders, bills, amounts, dates, and due dates
- Determining recurrence or renewal information when supported by evidence
- Distinguishing household and business financial evidence
- Supporting financial planning and recordkeeping
Google user data is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling for unrelated purposes, or sale to third parties.
Storage and Security
Expense may securely store copies of financial evidence retrieved from authorized Gmail accounts so that the evidence can be matched to financial records and reviewed by the authorized user.
OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored server-side and are protected from normal client-side access. Financial evidence and related metadata are stored within the application’s controlled infrastructure.
Access to Expense financial information is restricted to authorized users of the private application.
Sharing of Information
Expense does not sell Google user data.
Google user data is not shared with third parties except where necessary for infrastructure providers that operate the application or where required by law.
Infrastructure providers do not receive independent authorization to access the user’s Gmail account. Gmail access is performed by Expense using authorization granted by the Google account owner.
Data Retention and Deletion
Financial evidence may be retained as part of the user’s Expense financial history until the authorized user chooses to remove it or the application is discontinued.
A Google account owner may revoke Expense’s Gmail access at any time through their Google Account security settings.
Revoking Google authorization prevents Expense from retrieving new Gmail data from that account. Previously stored financial evidence may remain in Expense until removed from the application’s records.
Google API Services
Expense’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Questions regarding this privacy policy or Expense’s use of Google account data may be directed to the application owner through the contact information associated with 3Pitbull Studio.
